Mamedov was born in Baku in 1949.
Graduated from Azerbaijan State Conservatoire in 1974.
Faculty: History and Theory of Music.

- defense of Ph.D.Thesis "On organization of Koroglu
dastan's epic tunes" at Scientific-Research Institute
of Musicology, Ministry of Culture of the USSR, Moscow
(Scientific Adviser - Professor M. Tarakanov).

Realization
of projects
1.The
project "Karabakh
khanende" was carried out by "Friends
of Azerbaijan Culture" Fund along with «Musiqi
dünyası». Author and Project Head of the UNESCO
Goodwill Ambassador, President of "Heydar
Aliyev" Fund and Fund "Friends
of Azerbaijan Culture" was Mrs.
M.Aliyeva, the Coordinator of the Project - Tariel
Mamedov.(www.musigi-dunya.az)
2.The creative group of “Musigi Dunyasi”
under the direction of Mr. Mamedov and at financial
support of Germany and France embassies within the framework
of the "Sound heritage of Azerbaijan" project
restored 300 old records issued in the beginning of
20 century (1900-1914)
by “Ekstrafon”, “Gramophone”, “Pate” and others. These
disks are handed on storage to the Museum of Musical
culture, U.Hajibeyov’s Museum-House and Archive of Sound
recording.
3.
The project “Mugham ensiclopediya” was carried out by
“Heydar Aliyev” Fund, 2008 under the direction of Mr.
Mamedov.
