Mahmudova is a dean of Historic-theoretical faculty.
She was born in Baku in 1970.
1993
- graduated from Azerbaijan State Conservatoire. During
education years was a nominate of U.Hajibeyov's Scholarship.
1995-2000
- educator at the Chair "Theory of Music";
2000-2001
-Senior educator;
2001 - Assistant Professor. Scope of disciplines: polyphony,
harmony, and analysis of musical compositions.
1999
- defense of Ph. D. thesis: "On ostinato principles
in Azerbaijani music of oral tradition".
Author
of a number of articles on Azerbaijani music of oral
tradition, as well as on Azerbaijan composers. At the
moment she is a dean of historic-theoretical faculty,
a member of Extensive Academic Council, Chairman of
Small Academic Council of Historic-theoretical faculty.
