Regulations to enter Doctorate studies

1. The following persons could be admitted to Doctorate studies: citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic, Ph.D., who achieved definite success in the selected area, able to solve scientific problems of economic, social, and cultural importance, and carry out high-level fundamental researches.

2. There are respective regulations for foreign countries' citizens.

3. Those who want to enter Doctorate studies should submit an application and the following documents to Rector of Higher (scientific-research) Institution:

- List of reports (published scientific and scientific-research works);

- Personal index card;

- Autobiography;

- 4 photos (size 3 x 4)

- extensive plan of Doctoral thesis and schedule;

- application from employment.

4. Scientific council of Educational or Scientific-research Institution should consider reference of the related chair, decision of the faculty's Scientific council, scientific success of the applicant, extensive plan and possible terms to execute Doctoral thesis, and then makes a decision to admit the Candidate to enter Doctorate studies.

5. Rector should issue an entrance order.
