I
Republic Competition among young organists
"Best Organist of the Year" was held in 1996, April
19- 26.
The Fund "Friends of Azerbaijani Culture" and Azerbaijan
International Operation Company (AIOC) were
founders of the Competition.
The
Chairman of Organization committee of the
Competition was Rector of BMA, Professor F.S.Badalbeyli
and the Deputy Chairman
was Professor of BMA R.T. Guliev.
The
Chairman of Jury was the soloist of Lvov Philharmonic
Society V.N.Pivnov, the Honored juror was President
of AIOC Terry Adams.
Competition conditions:
1. All interested persons from 18 till 40 can take
part in the Competition.
2.
Competition consists of 2 rounds.
I round:
a) 1 Bukstenhudeh choral;
b) 1 of "Shubler" chorals of I.S.Bah;
c) I.S.Bah's large-scale composition;
d) Azerbaijan composer's work. II
round:
a) 1 Brams' choral;
b) 1 large-scale composition of a romantic composer;
c) masterly composition of a composer of the XX century.
12 persons took part in the Competition. Aliyeva Irada got the 1-st
award.
II
Republic Competition is planned to be hold in 2002.
